Working with a furry coach on four legs... <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Long ago, I was a horse girl, but in my adult working life, horse coaching had not occurred to me. As I started hearing more about it \u2013 now as a coach myself \u2013 I wasn\u2019t at all convinced that it would be a suitable way for me to work.\"<\/p>\n

\"At some point, my curiosity took over and I made a networking appointment with a horse coach - also a psychologist like me - to find out more. Of course, I also got to join the horse in the ring. I was immediately impressed by what you can experience and learn - out of your comfort zone and with an unfamiliar horse as a mirror. The horse ran away from me nicely with my 'I must be doing this really well now' energy and I was immediately made to think - or rather feel<\/u> put. The combination of the honest mirror offered by the horse, experiential rather than cognitive learning, and being outside and out of your comfort zone, delivers surprisingly fast and valuable results, and I would like my clients to benefit from that too. This is why I started to delve further into horse coaching.<\/p>\n

By the way, it is not a bad thing if you have nothing to do with horses or are even a bit afraid of them. Your safety - in all respects - is very important and, for that matter, so is that of the coach horse. In the contact with the horse and often also with the help of a practical assignment, you get a different insight into your own behaviour or approach, obstructing thoughts, emotions or blind spots. Or you just feel where your strength lies or what you need.'<\/p>\n
